About Me!

Hi!  I’m Erica Maher, a Connecticut-licensed electrologist and the owner of Erica Maher Electrolysis.  My calling into this industry began in my twenties, when I experienced firsthand the frustration, emotional impact, and lack of truly permanent solutions for unwanted hair.

Like many of my clients, I tried waxing, threading, bleaching, and laser hair removal. While these methods offered temporary results, none delivered the lasting change I expected.  Electrolysis was the first treatment that provided permanent hair removal and restored my confidence.  That life-changing experience inspired me to pursue professional training and licensing so I could help others experience the same satisfaction.

Today, my practice is built on compassion, precision, and a holistic approach to electrolysis.  I believe permanent hair removal is not just a cosmetic service, it is a personal journey that deserves care, education, and trust.  Every treatment is customized, and each client is welcomed into a calm, private, and supportive environment where comfort and progress come first.

I specialize in electrolysis for women, men, and teens, including clients navigating PCOS, hormone-related hair growth, and sensitive treatment areas.  Whether you are seeking facial or body hair removal, my goal is to make electrolysis approachable, empowering, and effective.

As both a licensed electrologist and someone who has personally sat in the client’s chair, I bring professional expertise alongside genuine empathy to every session.  It is an honor to help my clients feel confident, comfortable, and truly at home in their own skin.
